Dog training is not an easy thing to do, two years ago when I started the whole dog training adventure I thought it was easy. Boy was I wrong. Even dog trainers have problems when it comes to training typically with their own dogs.
Yelping Doesn’t always stop puppy biting – my puppy bit harder instead of letting go. Can cause some dogs to get more riled up.
Training is about more than just tricks – Impulse control, loose leash manners, and importance of proper play are just as important to teach
Not all dogs are highly food/treat driven – use prey drive, play drive with their favorite toys vs food
The environment makes a huge difference -Recall – try to override your dog’s excitement about the environment by playing tug or finding treats.
Being a Tree is not the only way to stop your dog from pulling on leash – add in switching directions, get attention with treats and encourage them to stop pulling and follow you around.
